A Day at the Park

This summer is flying by.  We were in England for 3 weeks, then a lovely house guest for 3 weeks and it’s already the first week of August and I have not been doing much in the craft room in the last 6 weeks.  I am itching to get back in and start making stuff for my Etsy shop that I will be setting up shortly.  So much to do, so little time.  But, I am sure that everyone is feeling like that right now.  With the weather that we have been having in Calgary lately, I have not wanted to hang out inside, I would rather be out there enjoying this amazing weather we are having!  It’s a heat wave!

I wanted to share a layout I did before all of the travelling and house guests.  I loved this line by Bo Bunny (Petal Pushers).  Scrapbook Steals had a blowout out sale recently on the paper and I loaded up on it, because I just love it so much.  It is definitely one of my favourites and I have used it for a variety of projects.  It has been made into mini albums, cards and layouts.  This layout is of our daughter from last summer, hanging out with her family that was in town visiting.  I thought that this paper went well with the photos I had taken.  Typically, I don’t use black as a background, so I stepped out of the box a bit and made this one as I really needed a good neutral background and white would have not done the layout justice.  Hope you like it as much as I do.
